This post is all about giving you organization options that are perfect for being smart about your small dorm space. With little to almost no room for all of your things, one thing about being a college student is all about compacting those things in tight places.
As a college student, your homework will be hard to keep up with, your clothes and shoes may be on the floor, and your makeup all over the bathroom counter. These tips will simply fix that problem to create a clean and stress free environment in your room.

1. Hanging Closet Organizer
These hanging shelves are designed to store clothes or shoes in your closet. They save space if you do not have a dresser or shoe rack.
Not only are they great for storage, they are super cheap!
2. Over The Door Shoe Holder
This is a great option if you are wanting more space in your closet for clothes and other storage needs.
Although this isn’t the cutest way to store your shoes, it is effective and saves so much space! The best part is, when you close your door, no one will see it.
3. Shoe Rack
If you are granted the lovely option of having an actual closet in your dorm. This is another way to display and organize your shoes.
You can also keep this stored under your bed or out in your room so everyone can see your stylish shoes!
4. Velvet Hangers + Space Saving Hangers
Velvet hangers aren’t a necessity, but they do keep your clothes on the hangers the best. I have them at home, and I LOVE them. I am definitely hauling them off to college with me.
As for the pant and skirt hangers, these are perfect! These hangers are designed to hold multiple pants and skirts but keep them as flat as possible. They will also keep them from getting wrinkled.
5. Hanging Bedside Storage
There is two different options for bed side organization. They come in different color options as well.
Both allow you to store your phone, tv remote, and many other things you would normally keep on a bedside table.
6. Under The Bed Drawers/Storage
College students everywhere use under the bed storage. From baskets to drawers, it makes it easier to store those things that you don’t want shown to guests.

Desk caddy or organizers are great for the storage of pens, pencils, sticky notes, and any other school supplies you may have. They sit on your desk and offer a way to easily find what you’re looking for.
They also have caddy’s that can charge your phone or hold files and paper work.

Foldable drawer dividers can fit in your desk or dressers drawers. These are designed to store smaller clothing items like socks and intimates.
9. Jewelry Organizer
These organizers come in different variations. From stands, hangings, or boxes, they all store and protect your jewelry. Options for your drawers are great too if you want to hide them away.
10. Fridge Caddy
A smaller option for holding your pantry items, this caddy saves floor space.
It hangs over any smaller fridge with ease, and still allows you to have storage above the fridge.
11. Fridge Stands
For a larger option that will also store a microwave, this is perfect! Providing valuable store for any pantry needs. The cheaper ones will not hold your microwave, but are still great.

This multipurpose rolling storage organizer is so handy! It can be used as a bedside table, used in the bathroom, or used to store pantry items and plastic bowls and cups.

If you are in the dorms where you have to use a community bathroom, these are a lifesaver! You can use your shower caddy to transfer your products to and from the shower.

These are used to provide extra space in your shower. If you and a roommate or two are given the opportunity to share your own bathroom, this product allows you to separate and organize your products.

If your bathroom has enough space for one of these handy pieces, you HAVE to get it. It saves space and can look super cute when you decorate it with small plants and rolled up towels.

A simple space saver for under the cabinets. This is great for storing first aid supplies, makeup, extra toiletries, etc..

I saw one of these posted on a Tik Tok over the summer, and I HAD to try it. Let me tell you, I LOVE IT. It does’t take up too much space, and you can store in on top or under the counter. It allows you to view all of your products and keep them in their specific place.
18. Makeup Bag
Makeup bags like the one I have linked above are great for keeping all your makeup in a clean and protected space.
It is easy to transfer to and from places, and you won’t have to worry about gross things getting on your brushes.
19. Wall Calendars
Perfect for organizing your week of homework and quizzes! These dry erase boards can be hung by command strips and attached easily to the wall!
If you are someone who likes to have a planner, but doesn’t want to carry it around all day, this is great!
20. Desk Calendar
This type of calendar is a classic way to keep your week together. You leave this calendar on your desk, and have everything laid out in front of you every time you sit at it.
They come in different sizes and colors!
21. Planner
Planners are what keep me in order. I love having a planner that I can carry around with me everywhere. Personally, I like to keep mine in my laptop case, so having a planner that is small is important.
